The project began with a single existing element: a pool, perfectly centered within the property. This preexisting feature became the heart of the design. The client’s request for two homes and a yoga shala led to a layout that organically unfolded around the renovated pool, transforming it into the central axis of the project — a shared space of reflection, leisure, and connection.
The natural topography suggested a subtle hierarchy between the structures: one home positioned slightly higher, overlooking the others and the landscape beyond. The client envisioned a tropical Mediterranean atmosphere, blending the softness and warmth of the Mediterranean with the lushness and openness of tropical living.
To achieve this, we introduced a series of A-frame structures that define the rhythm and identity of the architecture. As one enters the property, these frames create a spatial choreography — marking transitions, framing views, and gently guiding movement through the site. Their soaring geometry allows for abundant natural light, cross ventilation, and dramatic ceiling heights, giving the interiors a sense of openness and grandeur while maintaining a grounded, serene feel.
The result is an ensemble of spaces that feels both anchored and weightless, where architecture, landscape, and light converge around the tranquil heart of the pool.
